Betty Heim

Betty has explored artistic expression since childhood. Her artisitic journey began with painting holiday window designs and creating scenery for high school plays. She owned and operated an artwear business and taught Fine Arts and Humanities at all grade levels.

Betty holds degrees in Humanities/Social Sciences, Fine Arts and Art History. She has studied at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC and has done graduate work at home and abroad. She has attended workshops with many national and professional Florida artists and received awards for teaching and painting. Her paintings are included in private collections nationwide. Currently, she is on the Board of Directors of the Highlands Art League.

Since retiring from teaching. Betty paints in her home studio, She has had experience with various media but watercolor is her medium of choice. She shares her techniques by teaching watercolor classes at the Highlands Museum of the Arts. Her work is shown in many local art show, businesses, and the Museum's gallery.
