 Cathy Cranford Futral is a watercolor artist and an art educator living and working in the Ridge area of central Florida. She photographs most of her images for the landscape subjects that she paints here in Florida. She also works with watercolor and acrylic on location spending several summer months in North Carolina for a different landscape.
Cathy is the Professor of Art for South Florida Community College in Avon Park, Florida, and enjoys teaching various courses: drawing, design, painting, pottery, and art history. During the summer Cathy teaches watercolor and acrylic workshops for “Cheap Joe's Art Stuff” in Boone, NC. She is also active in professional art organizations and is a member of Florida Art Education Association where she was awarded the 2004 Florida Art Education Association Higher Education Art Educator Award.
